The Krier Juvenile Correctional Facility in Bexar County, Texas is a government project that needed our expert HVAC and plumbing services. Our responsibility involved replacing all the existing underground chilled/water and steam piping supporting all facility buildings – nearly 4000 feet of underground pipe. In addition, we are replacing the original 50-ton HVAC unit supporting the gym facility and a 20-ton air handler supporting the kitchen facility. Our teams have outlined the necessary steps for working around occupants and work schedules in this rehabilitation facility.
Facing this challenge, our team aligned on goals and objectives and was able to leverage a bit of creativity when working with facility staff. The project required us to solve for the re-routing of personnel traffic, while implementing additional safety measures to allow for seamless project execution and continued facility operations.
